I’ve tried this recipe at home, and it’s a quick and reliable option when you want a soft and fluffy cake without much effort.

Ingredients for Milk cake

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar (1 cup)
  • A little vanilla
  • 240 ml milk (1 cup)
  • 70 g butter (1/3 cup)
  • 270 g flour (2 and 1/4 cups)
  • 16 g cornstarch (2 tablespoons)
  • 8 g baking powder (2 teaspoons)
  • Baking pan 28 x 17 cm
  • Bake at 175C for 40-45 minutes

How to make milk cake

Step 1

  • Add 4 eggs, 200g (1cup) of sugar, and a little vanilla to a bowl and beat until you get a creamy mixture.

Step 2

  • Take a separate bowl and add 240 ml (1 cup) of milk.
  • Add 70g (1/3 cup) of butter to it.
  • Then quickly add it to the previously prepared mixture.
  • Beat the mixture well. (Until well mixed)

Step 3

  • Take another bowl and add 270 g flour (2 and 1/4 cups) to it.
  • Add 8 g baking powder (2 teaspoons) to it.
  • Mix both well.
  • Then sift the mixture into the previously prepared mixture using a sieve.
  • Then mix it well.

Step 4

  • Take a baking pan. (Baking pan 28 x 17 cm)
  • Line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 175C for 40-45 minutes.
  • After baking, sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the milk cake.
  • Then cut into desired sizes.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake soft
  • Bake at the correct temperature to avoid dryness

This cake is simple to prepare and gives a soft, fluffy texture with basic ingredients.
