Ice cream is a dessert loved by everyone, no matter the age. This simple chocolate ice cream can be made easily at home using just a few ingredients. It’s a quick option when you want something sweet without spending too much time in the kitchen.

I’ve tried this recipe at home, and it’s one of the easiest ways to make a creamy chocolate dessert without using an ice cream machine. The texture comes out smooth and rich when mixed properly.

If you enjoy simple homemade desserts like this chocolate ice cream, you might also like my 3-ingredient chocolate donuts, which are just as easy and satisfying to make at home.

Mixing the chocolate ice cream base until smooth and creamy

  • 600ml thickened (whipping) cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (397g)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  1. Pour the whipping cream into a large bowl and beat until it becomes thick and forms soft peaks.
  2. Add the condensed milk and cocoa powder to the whipped cream. Mix gently until everything is well combined.
  3. At this stage, you’ll notice the mixture becoming smooth and creamy as the ingredients blend together.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container and cover it properly.
  5. Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight for the best texture.
  6. Before serving, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly. Scoop and serve.

The mixture should feel light and airy at this stage, which helps create a smooth texture after freezing.
