This yellow rice is a traditional Sri Lankan rice Recipe. In the past, people used to make this yellow rice in a very delicious and fragrant way. Nowadays, many people do not make this yellow rice in the right way. Today, I have brought you the right way to make that yellow rice!
Ingredients

To make Yellow Rice Recipe
- Keeri Samba, 500 Grams (Rinsed)
- Coconut Milk, 2 ½ Cup
- Onion, 1 Qty (Chopped)
- Green Chili, 2 Pods (Chopped)
- Lemongrass, A Small Piece (Crushed)
- Pandan & Curry Leaves, A Little
- Cardamom, 7-8 (Crushed)
- Cloves, 8
- Raisin, A Little
- Turmeric Powder, ¾ Tbsp
- Salt, 1 Tbsp
- Oil, 3 Tbsp

How to make Yellow Rice Recipe


- Put a pan on the stove and add Oil, 3 Tbsp and let it heat up.
- Then add a small piece of lemongrass (crushed), pandan and a little curry powder and mix well.
- Then add Cardamom 7-8 (Crushed), and Cloves 8 and fry for 1 minute.
- Then add Green Chili 2 Pods (Chopped), and Onion 1 Qty (Chopped) and fry for about 2 minutes.
- Now add Raisin, A Little and mix well.
- Now we are at the last stage of making the yellow rice, now add our Keeri Samba, 500 Grams (Rinsed).
- Now this should be mixed well so mix for about 4 minutes.
- After mixing for about 4 minutes, add Coconut Milk, 2 ½ Cup.
- Now while mixing the mixture, add Turmeric Powder ¾ Tbsp, and Salt, 1 Tbsp, don’t forget to mix.
- Now cover it with a lid and let the rice cook on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- When the rice is cooked for about 5 minutes, mix it well and keep it on low heat for another 5 minutes.
- Okay, after the 10 minutes are up, remove the lid, mix it well, close it and keep it on low heat until it reduces.
- Now you can garnish it with Fried Onion, A little (Sliced), and Fried Curry Leaves on top of the rice.
Now we have finished making our yellow rice. You can add any type of rice to this and you can also add other things to change the taste and appearance.
