🧾 Ingredients (Serves: 2 glasses)

  • 50g fresh ginger
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 2 cloves
  • A small piece of cinnamon stick
  • 2–3 tablespoons sugar
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 400 ml water
  • Soda (optional)

🟢 Ingredient Notes

Fresh ginger gives the best flavor for this recipe. If you enjoy a stronger spicy taste, you can slightly increase the amount of ginger.

Soda is completely optional. You can enjoy this drink as a simple homemade ginger drink or turn it into a fizzy refreshing beverage by adding chilled soda.

Fresh lime juice helps balance the sweetness and gives the drink a fresher taste.

👨‍🍳 How to Make Ginger Beer

Step 1

Cut the ginger into small pieces and add them to a blender jar.

Add a small amount of water (about 100 ml) and blend until it forms a thick pulp.

Step 3

Place the saucepan over medium heat.

Let it cook for about 2–3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the flavors from the spices blend into the ginger mixture.3

⚠️ Do not overcook.

Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.

(⚠️ Avoid adding too much sugar.)

If the ginger flavor feels too strong, you can add a little more water.
