  • 1 egg
  • 30g sugar
  • 7g yeast (2 tsp)
  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 240ml lukewarm water / fresh milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • As much oil as needed for frying

  • Let it rise for about five to six minutes.
  • After the yeast has activated and started bubbling in five minutes, let’s start making the dough.
  • Now in another bowl, add the bread flour, egg, salt, vanilla, and yeast and mix a little.
  • After mixing all that, add the butter and mix again.
  • Now this mixture may be a little wet.

  • If so, add a little bread flour to this and start kneading the dough (about 2–3 tbsp).
  • Knead the dough well until it is non-sticky.
  • But do not make it too dry, just keep it moist.
  • That’s when the donuts will become soft.
  • Knead well for about ten minutes until the flour loses its crumbly texture and you have a soft dough.

  • Make this hole a little bigger because we need to let these doughnuts rise again.
  • Then, if the hole in the middle is small, it may close up.
  • Now cover the doughnuts with a kitchen towel and let them rise again for about twenty minutes / half an hour.

  • Now, after about twenty minutes, the size of these donuts will increase a little more and they will puff up.
  • Put the amount of oil required to fry the donuts in a pan and heat the oil.
  • Do not heat the oil too much.
  • Now put the donuts in the oil and fry them well, alternating sides.
  • The donuts should be cooked well both on the sides and in the middle.
  • Therefore, fry the donuts well on a low flame, alternating sides from time to time until they get a golden brown color.

  • Fry the donuts in this way for about four to five minutes.
  • If necessary, insert a toothpick from the side of the donut to check if the middle is cooked well.

  • Now remove the donuts and place them on a cooling rack to drain the oil.
