Homemade Coconut Ice Cream

Ice cream is something that everyone loves to eat, and many people have asked us to teach them how to make ice cream that has both taste and quality. So, today we brought you how to make coconut ice cream at home. It doesn’t cost much and doesn’t require much effort. I thought I would try making this because many of the things you buy from the store these days are unhealthy. We use 100% natural ingredients to make this ice cream. That’s why everyone, big and small, can enjoy it without fear. Without further ado, let’s first see what we can do with it.

  • Coconut from a large coconut
  • 3-4 bananas
  • (You can use any creamy fruit like mango or avocado instead of banana
  • 4tsp powdered sugar (to taste)
  • 1tbsp vanilla
  • Food coloring (optional)

🍨 How to make Coconut Ice Cream

Step 1

✅ First, put the grated coconut in the blender jar and add water to cover the coconut and blend to make the condensed milk.

✅ Strain the coconut milk and make the second milk in the same way (watery milk). Do not add too much water the second time.

✅ Now put the prepared coconut milk in a bowl, cover it with a lid and keep it in the fridge for two to three hours.

✅ In the meantime, cut the bananas into slices and add the juice of a lime to it to get the bitterness of the bananas.

✅ Now cover the bowl with the bananas with a lid and keep it in the freezer for two to three hours.

✅ When the coconut milk is left in the fridge for two to three hours, a layer of oil like cream will appear on top.

✅ Now take the oil layer on top with a spoon and put it in the blender jar. (Do not take the water part below)

✅ I usually have about 250ml of that coconut cream.

Step 2

✅ Add the bananas that were in the freezer, add sugar, vanilla, and if you are adding food coloring, add a small amount like a drop at this time and blend well for three to four minutes.

✅ Now put this mixture in a bowl, cover it and keep it in the freezer for 2 hours.

✅ After two hours, it will have set well like ice cream.

✅ Then leave this ice cream outside for 2-3 minutes and after it melts a little, put it back in the blender for a short time (2-3 minutes) and blend it.

✅ Put it back in the bowl and keep it in the freezer for about 7-8 hours.

✅ After that, you can taste the delicious coconut ice cream.

✅ You can eat it by leaving it outside for about five minutes without eating it.

✨ Tips for Perfect Homemade Coconut Ice Cream

  • 🥥 Use fresh coconut for the best flavor. If you use old coconut, the flavor will be reduced.
  • 🍌 Use well-ripened fruits (bananas, mangoes, and avocados). This will make the ice cream naturally sweet and creamy.
  • ❄️If you keep the fruits in the freezer before blending, the texture will be smooth like ice cream.
  • 🥛 After taking the coconut milk out of the fridge, use only the thick cream layer that comes out on top. Do not mix the water at the bottom.
  • 🍦 Freezing the ice cream first and then blending it again is an important tip to make the texture extra creamy.
  • 🥄 Cover the bowl with an airtight lid and put it in the freezer. Otherwise, ice crystals will form.
  • 🌈 It is better to not use food coloring for a natural look. If you add mango or avocado, you will get a natural color.
  • 🍫 When serving, you can add cashew nuts, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or fruits to enhance the taste.
  • ⏳ Take it out of the freezer and serve after keeping it for about 5 minutes. Then it is easier to scoop.
